Happy birthday, Keira!  We hope you have a wonderful birthday!

We just started to count by 25s...a difficult concept for most!  Here is a video we watched today to help us understand counting by 25s and how it is like counting money.  You only need to watch the first few minutes to practice your counting!  We worked on our rough copies for our 'Dear God' letters.  We are looking at adding linking words and adjectives to our work.

Making Connections

We continue to talk about Making Connections when we read a story.  Today, we listened to (and watched) Wemberly Worried.  The students were able to make lots of connections to this story...especially text to self!

We read the follow up book to 'One' called 'Zero'.  The author's message was that everyone has value! Who knew that the number '0' was so important?  Another great read-aloud in our class and lots connections to other books we have read so far...

More Counting Backwards!

We tried to count along with this fella but...he was toooooo slow!  We went on a Matter Hunt this afternoon and made a short movie...should be out in theaters tomorrow (well...in our classroom).  We got into groups to write down all the things we knew about matter and our wonderings! Soon we will be conducting experiments...
